The Somatic Art Practice® Level 2 residency will take place in person in Mas de Llaneta, Tarragona, Spain.

SAP Level 2 is a continuation of the Introductory SAP training (Level 1), and it is open to those who have completed the Introductory SAP Training Course (Level 1). If you are interested in the certified Somatic Art Practice training, you will need to have completed the SAP Level 1 residency as well.
There is also a limited number of places for newcomers, if the aim is to take it as a personal development residency or to get to know the SAP work.
The Somatic Art Practice® Level 2 Residency deepens the principles of the methodology and pedagogy of somatic artmaking, offering additional tools on:
Somatic Movement Education by Body-Mind Centering® Arts-based research methodology - for somatic artmaking Somatic art practice pedagogy - for teaching.
During this residency you will have the opportunity to gain further embodiment tools from the fields/practices of:
Body-Mind Centering® Fine arts (drawing, sculpture, installation) Visual arts (Photography, Videodance) Performance Autoethnography Site-Specific Artwork The Poetics of Materiality Ecosomatics Somatics for Social Justice/Body Activism
The in-person residency also aims to enrich the areas that cannot be easily experienced in the online part, such as:
group dynamics
touch qualities
presence qualities
use of a large space
contact with nature
relational aspect of the work
The last 2 days of the residency will focus on the participants' offerings of short workshops/experiences, as well as the presentations of their artistic research projects (of those who have been taking the whole SAP training)
