Somatic Therapy is a form of body psychotherapy that focuses on the somatic experience. It includes a variety of psychotherapy and body-centered approaches so as to sense, explore and integrate the relationship between body, mind, spirit and emotions. Their disconnection or misalignment can lead to both physical and mental illness, to a sense of loss of self, belonging and authenticity. It is an effective way for assisting psychosomatic illness/disease, stress, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, problems with relationships, as well as issues related to trauma. In Somatic therapy we work with the symptoms at a cellular level, physically, verbally and through art materials, inviting dialogue and friendship with them, permitting an organic change into a new form of relationship to take place, aiming towards a fuller engagement with life.
One on one sessions are offered to both adults and infants 1 month-12months of age.
